Hi, I’m Diana! I took my first trip abroad as a teenager and have loved traveling ever since!
For more than 32 years, I worked for public schools in South Carolina, both in and out of the classroom. I hope that I’ve inspired my students and the teachers I worked with to have confidence in themselves, as so many of them have inspired me. While working, I traveled as much as possible, for work and play!
Now that I’m retired, I can travel as much as I like! Over the years, I've been to 34 states and 19 foreign countries. I love to meet new people, learn about different cultures, taste local cuisine, and visit historic sites.
I raised three daughters and took them on planes from diapers through graduation. Now that they’re grown, they’re not only my favorite people, they’re my favorite travel buddies! When the youngest moved to South Korea to teach English, I knew I had to visit her. I’ve been to see her and she’s come home to visit and been on girls’ trips with me and her sisters. The only thing better than getting to see my baby in person again is getting to share new places with her!
My daughters encouraged me to start this blog and share our adventures and the advice I have for travelers, both new and experienced. My goal is to visit at least one new country every year, and finish seeing all 50 states! I’d love to invite you to join us, and hope to inspire lots of other women like me to go traveling too, whether on their own or with their grown children.
When I’m not traveling, I’m enjoying retirement with my two cats, on the tennis courts with friends, and at the pool or beach with my daughters and grandchildren.
