Next month, my daughters and I will be vacationing in Japan. The flight from Atlanta to Tokyo will be just over 14 hours, and I want to be as comfortable as possible. To enjoy long flights, here are a few items I always carry on board!
1) an inflatable neck pillow that rolls up and fits in a bag with a hood, mask, and earplugs.
2) light slippers so I can slip off my shoes but keep my socks clean.
3) compression socks to prevent swelling. Wellow socks fit well and come in fun colors.
4) a foot sling that also prevents swelling. It's easy to attach to a tray table, and rolls up to fit in my bag.
5) I always fly with a large water bottle to stay hydrated, and add packets of Liquid IV for flavor and electrolytes. I know these work because I also use them on the tennis courts!
6) my tech. I always carry my iPhone and iPad. On my iPad I load books, movies, TV shows, games, and music.
7) bluetooth earbuds that go over my ears so they don't fall out if I move around or fall asleep!
8) a retractable cable to stay powered up! It has three connector types so I can charge my phone, iPad, earbuds, etc. all with one cable. Most airplanes have a charging port.
9) a tote. All of these items fit nicely into my tote, which has a sleeve for my iPad, and can be attached to the handle of a rolling suitcase. This has been such a great bag for flying and day trips that it replaced my beloved backpack!
10) and last, but not least, I carry a light weight zipped sweatshirt in case it gets chilly on the plane!
