Today we spent a full day at Universal Studios Japan. This park has the only Super Nintendo World anywhere, so we had to arrive early to reserve our spot, and still got one of the very last slots just 50 minutes before the park closed. So yes, we did close down the park. It was really fun but extremely hot and humid. It was so late when we got back to the main station we actually took a taxi back instead of another train, and fell asleep in the car on the way home!
We started our day with a Pokémon parade, walk through the Spider-Man section, and a roller coaster ride with a huge drop. I'm glad we were strapped in tight!

Next we went to find my favorite section, with the best ride of the day and yummy lunch. You guessed it! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! We stood in line for over an hour for the ride, but it was definitely worth it. It really felt like we were flying over Hogwarts! After our British-style lunch, we found some gentler rides and fun desserts with none other than our good friend Hello Kitty! On her cupcake ride (a version of the classic teacups), the girls got so excited with the spinning that they didn’t notice the ride had stopped!
Later in the day we ventured into Jurassic Park and found reprieve from the heat on a ride that got us drenched. The man behind me thought it was hilarious! We only wished we had found the ride earlier. It was the hottest day of our trip so far with a heat index in the teen triple digits.
We finished with the main purpose of the visit to the theme park - Super Nintendo World. We felt like we were living in a life-sized video game! So much fun!
